Timing analysis of the looping-forming of the tufting machine

The working mechanism of the LCL carpet tufting machine whether the yarn is looped or cut on the base fabric is similar to that of other types of cut pile carpet machines. To this end, firstly, the loop motion sequence of a high-cut low-loop carpet tufting machine produced by a foreign company was analyzed through video linear editing software. Intercept the video for a period of time, and capture the time coordinate of each process feature point through the software. In a working cycle of the process and return of the tufting needle, intercept the tufting needle at the top and bottom dead points. Read the time scale corresponding to the screenshot of each position, as shown in Figure 2. When £=10", the tufting needle starts from the top dead center, passes through the horizontal line position of the loop-forming hook t=17", when it reaches the bottom dead center £=22,,; returns from the bottom dead center to the top dead center The time scale is shown in Figure 2. Tufting uses the same method to take screenshots of the position of the loop hook during a working cycle of the process and the return journey for the same piece of video material. The corresponding time scale is shown in Figure 3

Although the time scale of the video capture can only be accurate to the second, comparing the time scale values in Figure 2 and Figure 3, we can still find that the movement of the tufting needle and the loop-forming hook has various characteristics during one cycle of the looping movement. The position shows a certain timing correlation. For example, at t=17, the hook is at the near dead point, and the tufting needle is about to pass the hook horizontal line; at t=24", the looping hook process is about to pass the tufting needle vertical line , The tufting needle process reaches the bottom dead center; and the time difference between the tufting needle at the top dead center and the hook at the near dead point is 7", the whole cycle time of the screenshot is 24", and the phases of the tufting needle and the loop-forming hook can be known The difference is (7/24)x360. = 105.. Further comparison of the timing characteristics of the looping motion of the flat-loop carpet machine, it can be found that the timing characteristics of the loop-forming motion of the high-cut low-loop carpet machine are similar to those of the flat-loop model For this reason, it can be considered that the timing of the looping movement of the tufting needle and the looping hook of the LCL tufting machine conforms to the timing law of the general carpet machine, so the action timing of the reed in the LCL tufting machine is designed as: in a working cycle Inside, when it is necessary to form a loop, the reed must be closed before a certain time and can be opened after a certain time; when the pile needs to be cut, the reed does not work, or the reed must be opened before a certain time.
